What this is
PMapa lets you plan routes, keep a record of where you have been, share it, offer a place to stay or find one, and talk to other travellers. Using it means accepting what is on this page and in the privacy policy.
It is young software under active development. Things change, break, and are fixed. Please do not make it the only copy of anything you would hate to lose.
Your account
One account, yours, with an email address that reaches you. Keep your password to yourself — anything done with your account is treated as done by you. Tell us if you think someone else has got in, and end that device's session from Settings.
You must be at least 16 to have an account here.
What you post
What you write and photograph stays yours. By putting it on PMapa you allow us to store it and show it to the people it is meant for — that is all the permission we take, and it ends when you delete the content or the account.
You are responsible for what you post, which means:
- It is yours to post, or you have permission.
- Nothing illegal, and nothing that harasses, threatens or impersonates anybody.
- No spam, no scraping, no bulk automation against the service.
- A listing describes a real place you may actually offer, at a price you mean.
You can report anything that breaks this from the post or the profile itself, and block anyone you would rather not hear from. We remove what breaks these rules and may end an account that keeps breaking them.
Stays, bookings and goods
Today PMapa introduces people and keeps the record: a booking here is a request and a note of one, and what is agreed about money, keys or cancellation is arranged between the guest and the host directly. Nothing you pay for a stay or a second-hand rucksack passes through this service yet.
We do not inspect the places listed and cannot promise that a listing is accurate or that a person is who they say they are. Use the same care you would anywhere else that puts strangers in touch.
Paying for things
There is nothing to pay for here yet — no payment is taken, no card is stored and no commission is charged. That is a description of the service as it stands today, not a promise about what it will always be.
Paid parts are planned: holding a payment until both sides of a deal are satisfied, promoting a listing so more people see it, and buying travel things such as tickets and eSIMs. When any of that arrives it comes with its own terms — what is charged, who takes the payment, how a refund works and who to complain to — published here before the first payment is taken, not after.
What you can expect from us
We try to keep the service up, to keep your data safe and to fix what breaks. We cannot promise it is always available or free of faults, and we do not guarantee that data survives every accident — this is provided as it is. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to putting the service right.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings; everything goes with it. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and will say why when we do.
Changes
These terms change as the product does, and the date at the top moves when they do. Anything that changes what you agreed to in a way that matters will be said plainly in the app, not slipped in here.
