Delete your account

You can delete your PMapa account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. It takes four taps, needs nobody's approval, and erases your account and the things in it. If you cannot get into your account, email us and we will do it for you.

1. Open PMapa and sign in as the account you want to delete.
2. Go to Settings — the gear icon on your profile.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm in the dialog. Your sessions end immediately and you are signed out on every device.

There is no waiting period and no cooling-off window: the account is gone when you confirm, and it cannot be restored.

Email fggnb45598@gmail.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. Tell us the email address or the handle of the account. We may ask one question to confirm the account is yours — we will not ask for your password. We action the request within 30 days, and normally within a few working days, and reply when it is done.

• Your account and credentials. Your email address, your password hash, your handle, and the link to your Google or Apple sign-in if you used one.
• Your profile. Display name, bio, location text and your photo.
• What you made. Trips and their stops, the countries and cities you marked as visited, posts, comments, likes and saves.
• Your marketplace activity. Property listings, the bookings you made and received, and the goods you listed.
• Your sessions and devices. Every signed-in device and its refresh token, along with your notifications.
• Your uploads. The photos attached to any of the above, removed from the media storage itself and not merely hidden.

• Messages you sent to other people stay in their conversations, as a letter does once posted. Your name no longer links to a profile. We cannot remove them from someone else's inbox, in the same way we cannot unsend mail.
• Operational server logs — request address, time, path and result — are kept for up to 30 days to run the service and investigate abuse, then overwritten. They are not a profile of you and are not used for anything else.
• Encrypted backups of the database roll over within 30 days. A copy of your rows can exist in a backup during that window; it is restored only after a total failure, and the deletion is re-applied if it ever is.
• Records we are required to keep — for example a report of abuse made about your account — are kept only where the law requires it, and only as long as it requires.

Nothing in either list is sold, shared with advertisers or used for marketing, before or after deletion. PMapa has no advertising or analytics vendors at all.

You can edit or clear your profile, delete an individual post or comment, take a listing down, or end one device's session from Settings without touching the others. The privacy policy explains what each of those holds in the first place.
